The Sound of Crunching

In the still of the morning as you walk into  classroom... you hear the sound of crunching. Crunching on wood actually. And if you look around at the chairs that are pushed in under the desks, you might just find evidence of that crunching in a pile of sawdust.
Yes, now that it has warmed up again, the termites are busy feasting at the desks of education. The students complain that the crunching is very loud....I tell them...don't lay your head on the desk then. But each morning, after recess, and when they return from lunch, we have to get the trash can and sweep another pile of dust into the bin.
Oh, the adventure!
