On Wednesdays the international clinic at Patan Hospital is open, so today I went to get some shots. I ended up getting three! Boy, do my arms hurt. I got a Typhoid in one arm and a Tetanus AND Japanese Encephalitis in the other. The amusing thing about the whole process was that you sign up for the shots, go to the counter, and pay your money... and then you get in line at the pharamacy (in these cattle movers, metal bars I call them) and get your medicine. Then you take it back to the doctor, who gives you the injections. I was done in about 15 minutes with the whole process, but then I was one of the first on the docket. Next week I get to go back for more JE and a Meningococcal injection... Oh joy! Oh rapture!
